2026 BTCC support slot

The Classic Touring Car Racing Club has secured a coveted slot on the British Touring Car Championship support bill in 2026.

The club’s Pre-’83 Group 1 Touring Car category will join the TOCA package at Oulton Park on 6/7 June, taking the place of British Formula 4.

This will be the second time in three seasons that one of the CTCRC’s series has raced on the BTCC bill after Pre-’66 Touring Cars proved to be extremely popular guests at Croft in 2024. More than 30 cars were in action in front of a big crowd that day.

Oulton Park is traditionally one of the best supported rounds on the BTCC calendar, with crowds packing the spectator banks around the picturesque venue. Racing takes place on the slighter shorter Island layout which means cars return to the popular spectator spots more often.

With races broadcast live by ITV, this will be an unmissable event for every Pre-’83 Group 1 racer.

“We’re thrilled to have secured another guest slot on the British Touring Car bill,” said CTCRC chairman Stuart Caie.

“This is testament to the fantastic show our Pre-’66 Touring Cars put on at Croft last year, and the hard work of all our club members and volunteers.

“It’s only fair that we share around the opportunities to race at such a high-profile event. This time it’s the Group 1 Touring Cars that have a chance to race in front of the BTCC crowd at Oulton Park and we just know they’ll provide superb entertainment.”
