The CTCRC is delighted to announce the launch of the Pre-2013 Touring Car Championship.
The new category is aimed primarily at turbocharged Super 2000 and early NGTC-specification cars from the British Touring Car Championship, but will cater for all two-litre tin-top machinery.
As the club already runs championships for Pre-’83, Pre-’93 and Pre-’03 touring cars, a Pre-2013 category is a natural addition. The cars will nicely complement those from our hugely popular Super Tourers championship which headlines our flagship Super Touring Power event at Brands Hatch each summer.
CTCRC chairman Stuart Caie said: “Super Touring Power has generated a great deal of interest in what you might call the more modern touring cars of the past, and we’ve had a number of people approach us wanting to race their later Super 2000 and NGTC cars.
“We feel the time is right to create a home where these cars can get back on track where they belong. Pre-2013 is the natural next step to join our existing series, covering the full spectrum of classic touring cars.”
