see https://www.raceretro.com/ for more details

The Classic Touring Car Racing Club will once again have a stand at Race Retro, the historic motorsport show on 23-25 February 2024.

We would be delighted to speak to anyone who is interested in joining the club, racing a classic touring car of any kind, or who simply loves classic touring cars as much as we do.

On our stand, we will have four fantastic classic touring cars representing our eight championships:

  • Malcolm Harding’s glorious Ford Escort Mk2 Zakspeed (below), built as a replica of Hans Heyer’s famous Deutsche Rennsportmeisterschaft (DRM) winning car from 1975. This Group 2 car with full Zakspeed body kit competes in our Historic Thunder and Blue Oval Saloon Series.
  • Adam Woods’s ex-Tom Chilton Honda Civic Type R, a British Touring Car Championship car from 2002. The BTC-T spec Civic races in our Super Tourers championship, which headlines the ‘Super Touring Power 2’ festival at Brands Hatch on 29/30 June 2024 and features cars and stars of the BTCC’s most fondly remembered era.
  • Joey Binks’s stunning Ford Sierra RS500, a replica Group A car from the 1980s, resplendent in the evocative Duckhams livery raced in the BTCC by Karl Jones in 1989. It competes in the Blue Oval Saloon Series and the Pre-’93 Touring Car Championship, which is aimed at Group A and Group N machinery.
  • James Everard’s Alfa Romeo Sprint GT, a beautiful race-winning car from the Pre-’66 Touring Car Championship which has also twice contested the Roger Albert Clark Rally in the hands of James’s father John.

Race Retro is Europe’s number one historic motorsport show, bringing the excitement of retro motorsport to life.

Plenty of motorsport legends will be present, including Ari Vatanen, John Watson and Ian Flux.

Among the many iconic competition cars on display with be an ex-Richard Burns 1998 Mitsubishi Carisma GT and the ex-James Hunt March 732 Formula 2 car.

The event takes place at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire, between the M6 and M40 motorways. Members of the CTCRC can use the discount code CTC when buying advance tickets to save a further £2. More information can be found here:
